Where commitment issues meet creativity.
These collections celebrate the beauty of subtle changes and the uniqueness found in repetition. Fueled by a love for exploration and the belief that every story can be told in countless ways, these works evolve with each iteration—sometimes forming a theme, sometimes creating something entirely new. And let’s be honest, sometimes people just want more than one.
“I WANNA HOLD YOUR LAMP”
Who knew that mannequin hands could light up a room while keeping you entertained and slightly questioning your décor choices at the same time? In this playful series, each handcrafted pendant carries its own quirky personality, offering a delightful twist on functionality and design.
"A LIGHT PINCH"
This series plays with the balance of strength and vulnerability—because what’s more fun than suspending delicate glass in the grip of menacing ice tongs? With a warm filament at its core, each fixture casts a soft, radiant glow, turning raw materials into a minimalist yet dramatic statement piece. Simple. Refined. Just a little bit daring.
“GLASSKET”
The Glassket series transforms select wooden crates into glowing metropolises of glass. These little luminous cities rise up, bottle by bottle, like skyscrapers in a skyline. Each antique container stands proudly, refracting a cool blue light that spills through its delicate curves and edges. As with all series work, no two are exactly alike, yet each one feels orderly and grand—an invitation to explore its own tiny, glowing world.
“TINKLE LIGHTS”
Urinals = Elegance!? At Afterglow, we proudly solve equations no one asked for. These recurring sconces—made from vintage male and female glass urinals and mounted on iron stove trivets—are purpose-built to illuminate bathroom humor and spark a double take. Years of service have left their mark, and the ghostly fog of the glass only adds to their charm. It’s repurposing at its most absurd, unhinged, and flushed out—a tribute to the fine art of going with the flow.
“CRATE EXPECTATIONS”
Suspended for all the right reasons. In this series, varieties of crates and carriers have earned their glow-up after surviving years of bumpy backroads, cafeteria turf wars, and a lifetime of manhandling. Now repurposed as pendants and chandeliers, each glass vessel is lit from within—highlighting every dent, ding, and delinquent detail of its hard-working past. They now deliver servings of atmosphere by the oz, pint and quart.
“CRANKY” PENDANTS
The 'Cranky' series of pendant lights gives stubborn old hand tools a chance to lighten up. In their second act, they’ve traded toil for a warm glow—a well-earned retirement from sore arms and muttered curses. Each is a tribute to the craftsmanship of tools built to be passed down for generations. Try passing down a cordless drill in 50 years.
“WHISTLER”
Twelve glass insulators once built to carry current are turned into a gleaming chorus of light. Set in a vintage sugar mold and finished with star-studded hardware, this piece hums with frontier charm and industrial swagger.
“CENTRIFUSE”
A side of light, hold the dairy—mood lighting with a twist, literally. Give the centrifuge handle a crank and watch the lights dim and brighten. Proof that even the oddest mashups can churn out something brilliant.
“RISE AND SHINE”
Just like no two recipes are the same, each bread pan in this series uses dairy teat cups as shields to highlight a lifetime of scorched metal and baked-in character. With onboard dimmers, their temperature can be dialed up from lightly toasted to full broil. Now retired from their duty in the kitchen, they’ve traded proofing for atmosphere.
“KETTLE LANTERN”
Tea time just got a luminous upgrade. These cast aluminum kettles have brewed their last cup of tea—now, they serve light! Each lantern is hand-drilled with hundreds of tiny holes, creating swirling steam patterns that glow from within and cast delicate patterns across their surroundings.
“POP’S TORCH”
Crafted from vintage brass kerosene torches, this series is a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern functionality. The original air pump has been retrofitted with a dimmer, and the electricity is controlled with a simple twist of the pump handle.
“CAPPER”
Once used to bottle home brews and backroom spirits, these vintage bottle cappers bring a touch of bootlegger charm to the desktop. Each feature a 20-watt bulb glowing warmly through a single, weathered pickling jar.
“BOTTLE ROCKETS”
Old ammo crates filled with glowing antique bottles—because nothing says ambiance like repurposed explosives packaging. Once delivering bang, now delivering brightness, these little glass cities sparkle from within, each one slightly different and entirely too charming for their former lives. Explosive history meets peaceful illumination; consider it Afterglow’s version of disarmament.
